From December 4th to 6th, the International Technical Exhibition on Image Technology & Equipment (ITE 2024), Japan's premier event for machine vision enterprises, took center stage at the Pacifico Yokohama Convention Center. At this prestigious event, OPT unveiled a diverse array of cutting-edge solutions, including three major hardware systems: the Division Strobe Technology – Inspection of Polarizer Appearance, the SmartFlash measurement system, and a 2D and 3D Combined Application-Camera Housing Defect Detection. The showcase highlighted five key product series, including 3D laser profilers, smart code readers, and industrial cameras, catering to a broad range of requirements—from essential applications to cutting-edge technological advancements.

The camera housing detection solution leverages the innovative integration of 2D and 3D vision technologies to detect surface defects such as scratches and dirt precisely. It also accurately measures key dimensional parameters, including pin height and side flatness, significantly enhancing quality control capabilities during the production process.

The electrode appearance inspection solution features time-sharing strobe technology, allowing multiple lighting effects to be integrated into a single scan. This innovation enhances detection accuracy while reducing space requirements and hardware costs.The SmartFlash measurement system integrates highly stable measurement software with a precision imaging system, capable of measuring large products within a 315 x 190 mm range. It allows users to easily import CAD drawings to create measurement setups, setting a new industry benchmark.
