Nord Cart Mover for OMRON Debuts at Automate 2026

Nord Modules brings its new Nord Cart Mover for OMRON to Automate 2026 — an ultra-slim cart-handling module that turns OMRON LD-series AMRs into autonomous cart transporters, without the docking infrastructure these systems usually demand.

The Cart Mover is built around two design decisions that change where and how cart automation can be deployed.

The lowest cart profile on the market. With a build height of just 25 mm, the module operates under carts with minimal ground clearance — opening up applications that taller cart movers simply can't reach. Where height has been the constraint, it no longer is.

No docking stations required. Instead of relying on fixed docking infrastructure, the module lifts only the two braked wheels of the cart off the floor. The cart then rolls freely on its remaining wheels and can be moved even with its brakes engaged — no pins, no floor-mounted docking hardware, no station modifications. That means faster deployment, lower installation cost, and the freedom to reconfigure routes without rebuilding the floor around them.
