FANUC Authorized System Integrator and A3 Certified Robot Integrator expands its focus on automation for printers and converters
VERONA, Wis., Oct. 2, 2026: DEVELOP LLC, a Wisconsin-based custom automation and robotics integrator, has joined TLMI, the Tag and Label Manufacturers Institute. The membership marks an expanded focus on the automation needs of label and package printers and converters.
Printers and converters have invested heavily in faster, more capable presses. At the back of the plant, however, inspection, counting, case packing, and palletizing are still often done by hand. High product mix, short runs, and light, flexible products make these tasks hard to automate. At the same time, manufacturers are finding it harder to fill open shifts.
DEVELOP has built end-of-line automation for printing applications, including a high-speed robotic case packing cell for cut-and-stack labels at Inland Packaging. Through TLMI, the company plans to deepen its understanding of converter operations, share what it has learned from those projects, and take part in the industry's conversations about workforce challenges.
"Label converters have spent years automating the press room. The end of the line is where the next gains are, and it's also where the work is hardest to staff. DEVELOP joined TLMI to learn this industry from the people who run it and to help converters solve the problems at the back of the plant," said Matt Moseman, President of DEVELOP.
