SinceVision to Preview SH8 Series Ultra High Speed Camera at VISION 2026
Capturing extreme transient events requires specialized optical hardware to overcome severe photon starvation. SinceVision will release the SH8 Series ultra high speed camera to the international market in October 2026 to address this specific limitation in rapid frame rate recording. Industry professionals can get an exclusive first look at the system during VISION 2026 in Stuttgart.
The primary engineering challenge in million fps imaging is light collection during exposure times as short as 150 ns. The SH8 Series solves this through a specialized back illuminated image sensor featuring large 20 μm pixels. Routing the metal circuitry behind the photosensitive layer allows direct light access to the photodiodes. This structural design achieves an EMVA 1288 verified peak quantum efficiency of 85 percent or greater.

Core Technical Specifications
- Maximum capture velocity of 1,100,000 fps
- Continuous recording at 30,000 fps at full 1280 by 1024 resolution
- Extended spectral sensitivity from 250 nm to 1050 nm for ultraviolet and near infrared imaging
- 8TB internal non volatile memory for secure power loss data protection
- Two by two pixel binning mode supporting 120,000 fps at 640 by 512 resolution
This hardware configuration positions the SH8 Series as a critical instrument for demanding machine vision applications, including aerospace fluid dynamics, detonation physics, and plasma flow observation.
See the SH8 Series live at VISION 2026 Germany from October 6 to 8 at Hall 8 Booth 8A30.
