Active Silicon, the specialist manufacturer of imaging products and embedded vision systems, has announced the appointment of Brian O’Connell as their new General Manager. His role will focus on expanding existing customer relationships and uncovering new opportunities for growth.

Brian will work closely with Co-Founder and CTO, Chris Beynon, and partner with leadership teams across the wider Solid State plc group to scale the business while strengthening Active Silicon’s technical foundation and core values.

A proven transformational leader, Brian brings extensive experience leading complex, large-scale programs in the defense and space sectors. His combination of strategic vision and hands-on execution makes him exceptionally well-positioned to guide the company into the next phase of growth.
